Can you help the Dennington's

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the powerful Name of our Lord Jesus! Today I am writing this letter on behalf of Bud and Jane Dennington. Bud and Jane play a critical role on our field here in Haiti. Bud keeps the place running physically through maintenance work and oversees new construction. Jane works as a key member of our Starfish Kids team as well as serves as hostess for our numerous Men For Missions teams.

Bud and Jane find themselves in a crisis at the moment—their support has dropped significantly. At the same time, the field is at a critical juncture as well. Several key people have scheduled furloughs and others have finished their careers in Haiti. These vacancies make it very difficult for them to leave before reinforcements arrive.

But here is the good news: more people are coming! Praise the Lord He is continuing to send workers into the harvest field. We have several new missionaries scheduled to arrive in September that can cover for Bud and Jane while they are away. So, after a time of transition, Bud and Jane should be able to leave for a few months by October to share in churches and increase their support.

Can you help us get to October? Their current funding level will fall $10,000 short of being able to stay until October. Can you help us overcome that shortfall? Your special gift will help sustain the work of Starfish Kids, Bethesda Medical Center, Radio 4VEH and others through the hands of Bud and Jane Dennington.

UPDATED PRAYER REQUESTS

Praising God for new opportunities to share His work as we travel this fall. Please pray that we will be able to raise the last $700 a month that we need to meet our financial responsibilies here in Haiti.

Praising God for how He has sent us the right people to help with Bible Schools this summer. Please pray for the children who are attending that they will truly hear the message Jesus has for them.

Praising God new missionaries are joining us here. Please pray that their all their needs will be met and they will arrive soon in God's perfect timing.

Please pray for the Ayars, Kate, Erica as they plan their trip back to Haiti.

August 1, 2008 We Became Missionaries to Haiti

We find it a privilege to serve with OMS (One Mission Society) and the other missionaries that God has called to Haiti. Bud is serving as Mechanic and Maintanence. I am working with a child evangelism program called Starfish Kids which you can read more about at Starfishkids.org. I also teaches English as a second language. Together we are Host and Hostess to incoming teams. We also plan to be very active in the local church. We know that it is going to be a labor intesive life and at times very lonely. We have a family, who we deeply love. Our daughters and 15 grandchildren mean so much to us. We place them all in God's hands as we follow him in obedience and will cherish every moment that we can be with them. We expect our lives to be richly blessed. God's Word promises us that. We also know that this life experience will change us as well as give us great joy.
